My Story
I loved making quilts and, one day, I began changing some aspects of the patterns I had purchased as this block, or that applique' motif, weren't quite what I wanted in my project. Soon, I was designing my own quilts and my quilty friends wanted me to write the patterns for them.
Thus, I went exploring ways to do it. On my own. There was no place to find detailed instructions on how to design and publish a complete pattern, with photos, diagrams, and all.
In 2013, I began blogging under the name Pieced Brain - you know, a brain made up of thousands of pieces of fabrics. The feedback from that virtual community motivated me to create my company, Pieced Brain Quilt Designs, to launch my Etsy store where I could sell my work, and to pursue other ways to market my patterns. There was a lot of trial and error, anxiety, and bumps on the road.
You can do it, too! But, it will be a lot easier because you can find all the information I never had in one package!
